it's 8.30 on a wednesday morning.
trains are fully packed.
everyone on office wear.
faces are gloomy.
All looks tired.
weather don't look good.
most alighted at Raffles Place station.
out of the gantries and disperse to different buildings.
all with the same mindset.

this is part of life.
working.
this is my 3rd phrase of life.
education has passed.
national service has completed.
now is a career i am looking forward to.

Finally i found a career in a banking sector that i hope for.
my dream is still being a pilot.
and that will be just a dream now.

Operational Ready Date

Today dated 12-May-09. 22 months back, i was enlisted to National Service. in Tekong.
Now, i just ORD!
HAHA! This 22 months, there were difficult times,
there were fun times, and definitely i know more friends.
From BMT Whiskey company, then SISPEC Juliet company,
ETI and lastly 6 SIR. Let me recap the fun times together.

BMT - WHISKEY COMPANY
I can say that this is the most interesting place to be in. Quite fun, and we really are into disturbing of bunkmates.
I still remember Soon Poh as the victim. whatever he tried to say, we will always make fun of him back.
There was one day that he told us his 1st sex experience, always makes me fun out loud.
William was also one of the "tio shoot guy". I always remember that we played a prank on him
and told him that he's our platoon best. His face totally changed once we told him. He looks happy.
But, he won't be one. Maybe not in BMT, but in ASLC, he is. =D

SISPEC - JUILET COMPANY
First day i went to SISPEC. i was waiting to know which company i am in. i saw soon poh.
I was praying not to be in the same company. But who knows,
He's in my company. somemore, same bunk. GUESS WHAT. HE'S MY FREAKING BUDDY.
Oh man. afterall. he's not that bad afterall. I got a few damn joker bunkmates.
Andy Wong, Norman, Jia Sing and David.
There was one night that we used a rubber face toy and it looks like real to scare David.
and he nearly pee on his pants la. farking funny. Andy, norman and jia sing. my drinking and
smoking buddies. used to hide and smoke outside the washing area.
Training was really tough there. Thanks to my PWO.

ETI - FIELD ENGINEER
I hate this place, the 1st day till the last day. training was damn tough there.
stores make me faint. waiting makes me cry. lectures make me sleep.
Simply can't stand this place. but bunkmates still one of the best.
I got my 1st indian buddy that shits on his bed. =P
We always wrestles around the bunk. With andy, robin and the useless binglong.
the sergeants that gives lecture makes me laugh. Their English really CMI.
Yugoslavia can be Yusok Ishak. LOL
And my clubbing buddies robin and weilun. can't club without them.

6 SIR - SD COMPANY
I was promoted to 3SG once i am posted to 6SIR. this means that we will have men with us.
I spent most of my NS time in 6 SIR. to be exact, 1 year 3 months. life there were boring.
Sleep and eat. but i got the most siong fieldcamp. We were always complaining of doing stuff.
Nobody wants to do. from live firing to Ops. We will argue, but it's normal.

ROC with 6 SIR was really an unforgetable trip. We really enjoyed our time there.
Esp the clubs!!! Of cos there won't be fun without my ex OC kelson and ex LTA Sharril.

I went HK, Shen Zhen, Macau, Zhu Hai with Kok Liang and Ivan. Had fun when i see Ivan enjoying buying fake goods.
There he is with a "BRANDED" Gucci bag. sorry not to rotate the picture cos i simply cant be bothered. =P

Went to Genting with Jeff, Yew Wei, Simon and Lenny.

We went to Kukup minus Wen zhong, Vincent and Ivan.
Now then i realise that i went overseas so many times when i am in 6 SIR.
Finally. i am going to collect my beloved Pink IC later in camp.

This is KUKUP LAUT, also know as a fishing village. Located in the western part of johor state.
This is where the ORD personnels gathered for the last time together.
3 days 2 nights is just nice for us, esp for the mj freak like me!
and we still catch abit of soccer match in the retro kopitiam there where you can't find anything in Singapore.
The people there are very friendly as well. really nice place, but dirty too.

YES, this is the "kelong". indeed they have alot of interesting species. from jellyfish to seahorse.
you name it, they have it.
THATS THE REASON WHY WE ALL LOOKED SO INTERESTED.
lol.

These are our entertainment there. MAHJONG, FOOD, FIREWORKS.
Yes, FIREWORKS can be fun, but it's not cheap neither.
FOOD can be nice, but same for every meals can be sick too.

i think i am hit with recession also. yeah. in army. 2 things that hit me hard.
1st,
i already decided to sell off my bike soon. cos i simply doesn't ride much now as i drove often.
and it's difficult to sell off my bike also. die la. spent so much already. and now i might sell it with a great loss.
2nd,
my ORD is coming. and i sent tons of resume. and yet, no one replies other than few insurance company that i dun really bother. i might be abit kiasu, but if i dun do it now, i might be jobless few months after i ord.
sigh, i am going to ord at a wrong timing...

my sis told me... this is the best time to study... as jobs are difficult to find, so use this time to upgrade yourself... hmmm. i might consider...

SINGAPORE FLYER!
i called and booked the flyer at 630pm. after woke up
at 530pm, i think that we are abit late.
so we started boarding the flyer at 7pm.
it's abit of sunlight with darkness.
so we are able to see both day and night sceneries.

chinese new year blues

i am bloody pissed la. i went nights out just to stay out of camp for a moment.
1st, my toot OC wants us to decorate the company line for chinese new year.
his expectation was too over la. want this want that. and dont even want to pay.
just use his mouth to talk and wants the whole company to be like chinatown.
these 2 days we were like damn tired over all this decorations stuffs.
2nd, dyoc is another crazy freak. he is just talking without thinking.
3rd, my pc was crazy these few days. kp us sia. i also dun understand and
i dun think there is any need for that. sigh.
tomorrow, we are going to have a battalion cohesion. steamboat dinner.
1k+ ppl eating at the parade square. quite a huge event. i am waiting for that.
chinese new year is just 4 days away.
pls make me happy abit.

New Year Resolution!

i think i am abit too late for my new year resolution.
simply becauce i got no time to blog and maybe abit lazy.
but still, i am here again.

1) earn more money. now u cant go around without money.
2) to go on holidays again. expecting to go to Gold Coast or Tokyo.
3) to grow abit bigger, as in my body. too skinny for me.
4) lastly, to stay funky and happy always.

GOODBYE 2008!
Year 2008, gone too fast for me i think. partly it's beacuse of my life in army.
let me recap on what i did or how i spend this year.
I was pretty busy in January as i am still in Engineer Formation. Life's not good there!
February was Chinese New Year.
I got addicted in clubbing. Thanks to my army mates.
I was posted to 6 SIR in March. spending time with my new men.
I got my new Super4 Motorbike in May.
I was involved in the NDP marching contingent and with 10 weeks of training.
I went to Hong Kong and Macau for 7 days in August/September for holidays.
I turned 23 in September, spending 2 nights in Genting, Malaysia
and i won't forget how i spent my 2 weeks in October/November in ROC, Taiwan with my unit.
It was OPS all the way to the end of the year.

HAPPY 2009!
I am hoping for 2009!
The answer is pretty obvious.
I will ORD on 2009 in May to start another milestone in my life.
I will definitely go and find myself a job. but studying is still a "question mark" for me.
And also more holidays to different countries this coming year as well!
1 mth to CNY.
4 mths to ORD.
i simply cant wait.

last week and planning to go to vivo to catch the movie, the day the earth stood still.
ok. before driving to vivo, we drove past Mount Faber.
thinking that i haven't really been there before.
so i decided to give it a try.

i posted an entry few weeks ago saying how i'm going to spend my new year countdown to sentosa siloso for beach party.
it has been CANCELLED. cos simply nobody wants to go. i only can manage to find two guys.
NEVER MIND!
my next plan is to go to the marina bay float countdown. but the party @ the float has been CANCELLED ALSO! due to poor tickets sales.
NEVER MIND!
the last plan i wanted was to go to the Singapore Flyers. no need for me to say. CANCELLED AS WELL!
the whole farking flyer will not be operation after new year due to the incident happened.
WTF MAN! i think i will stay at home watching tv then!

as usual, i don't usually celebrate xmas. no exception for this year.
no exchanging of present, but i got few presents from my baby. thanks!
no turkey, but i am hoping the cookhouse will prepare for me. lol!
no gathering or outing with my friends
                    but i will get myself accompanied with few other guys.
                    but in camp. BORING. its another 2 days of OPS for me.
                xmas is just another day for me. nothing special.

SATURDAY
i got a platoon outing. to ST JAMES POWER HOUSE.
the last time i went there was months months back.
And it was boring place that time. But last saturday, the music was actually alright.
But i am not. i felt damn bloated and felt uneasy. i went in for like 1 hour.
and i feel like puking and not even drinking much. And i went back home before midnight.
sigh, vomited and diahorrea like mad.

SUNDAY
I attended my one of my ex-colleague wedding in Singapore Expo. She and her husband actually invited 60 tables
that means over 600 people. They really got lots of friends man. i find that they quite compatible la. She's also
quite beautiful la. *i must say this because she might be viewing this blog. HAHA*
That's also my first time attending a wedding dinner. So you better be honoured yeah.
Actually i find that wedding dinner is quite boring also.
This was what i done yesterday.
i arrived at 745pm at the dinner hall.
i met the bride and gave her my blessing 15 mins later.
Waited for the event to start for 1.5 hours.
The newly weds walked into the hall and cut cake.
We started eating then.
After an hour, we toast them with YUM-SENG.
The weds then took picture table by table.
30mins later everyone was dispersed after the last dish.
And that was already 11pm.
THATS ALL!
It's not that meaningful afterall. But it's a good thing for me to meet up with my ex-colleagues.

TODAY
SLACK SLACK and SLACK.
i was slacking the whole day at home.
watching this hong kong drama 溏心风暴之家好月圆. finally completed.
from 12pm till now. DAMN TOUCHING AND NICE SHOW LA.
trust me. must watch. LOL!

Can't wait to watch the 1st episode. i am waiting for the discs from my mum.
Anyway. both shows got no link at all.

I met up with my ITE classmates last SUNDAY.
We went to Jusco, a HUGE shopping centre in centre JB.
For a little of shopping and talk cock session.
The FUN PART is we drove there. 2 CARS! =)

while we are waiting for the night to fall,
we watched a movie which cost us 11 RINGGIT ONLY!

AND I DONT UNDERSTAND THIS MOVIE AT ALL.
Its all about Terrorists and Muslims. And i don't think it's a good idea to screen this movie in Malaysia.

-SEAFOOD FEAST-

OK! this place is called the TODAK SEAFOOD CENTRE.
the lightings opposite this place is SEMBAWANG! Sembawang Wharf!
SO NEAR YET SO FAR!

They got tons of different seafood. some even never to be seen in Singapore.
We ordered 7 dishes. Got chilli crabs, fish, prawns, bamboo clams and few others.
Cheap is cheap la. but food not really that delicious. we paid SGD$20 for each person.
so still acceptable la.

OKAY! we had fun, we miss the days in school!

One and a half hours of waiting.

I take this opportunity to blog about the the passing of Ms Lo Hwei Yen. She was killed by Terrorists when she's in Mumbai for work. i just read the news article and i'm really feels for her husband. She's just 28 and a lawyer with great future. Her husband, Puhaindran proposed to her in the Maldives within eight months of meeting her. and they got married just last year. BUT the tragic event happened few days ago.

She called Puhaindran the 1st time that she's in the stairwell on the 10th floor and she was with security and some staff, and they were waiting for the police.

The 2nd call to him was confirmed that she was held hostage by terrorist. She was talking in a very steady voice; she was extremely brave. Her voice didn't even waver.

And the final call. "She said they said they still see activity, still in a very steady voice and still talking to me. I was trying to remain calm as well. Only in her last sentence, she said 'please tell them to hurry up'. And that's when I couldn't really take it, and said that I love her very much, and she said the same thing. So at least the last words I said to her were those words, Puhaindran said.
I guess that she knows it's coming when she told her husband to tell the authorities to hurry up.

The last thing she did was to email her husband by saying if I don't make it out of here I love you all.

A sad sad story...

Life in camp.

Camp life is always boring, full of stories and sometimes crap!
Quarrels are unavoidable. Misunderstanding will always happen.
This happened to my platoon mates and also my bunk mates too.
It happened to me also. I find that it's so stupid yet still can't be resolved.
Other people got their way of doing things, their own attitude and behaviour.
We can't expect the rest of the guys to follow and adapt to his way of style.
I am blaming no one. Now nobody really wants to go back to camp. That includes ME!
Putting aside my joker OC and PCs, some of my bunkmates and my 12 cute but problematic men,
my camp is really a BORINGGGGG place to be in.
Anyway, I miss Tekong, i miss the time where we are recruits. No commitments.
They say, we follow. We enjoyed together although trainings are tough.

it has been 15 months i last met up with this group... and
I MISS THEM! I miss disturbing Soon Poh and William. I miss Whiskey Company...

oh man. time flies. esp after i came back from Hong Kong, then Taiwan. it's just a month away to CHRISTMAS! and new year. and Chinese new year soon after!
i didnt really celebrated christmas before. no difference this year.
because this year i got to be on OPS. maybe can celebrate with "MSK".
Anyway, i think back that i am with my ex-collegues few years back during xmas eve,
its kinda scary though. Its a mess in Orchard Road when people started spraying foam at others.
i dunno whether did the government got a BAN on this.
Nevertheless, I STILL WANT MY CHRISTMAS PRESENTS ARH! =)
